One-armed war veteran John J. Macreedy steps off a train at the sleepy little town of Black Rock. Once there, he begins to unravel a web of lies, secrecy, and murder.
This is just a beautifully crafted and directed movie that grabs your attention early and keeps it through the end of the movie. Great cast and wonderful acting. John Sturges is a Hollywood legend as a director as are a number of the cast. Pure beauty to watch.
