Summary

Spoiler alert: I love Queen so I am totally biased on this movie. The movie itself takes poetic license almost to the max but it is a very interesting and enjoyable movie (if not always accurate). Gives the viewer the general idea behind the band and band-mates.  Wonderful soundtrack. Interestingly, Bryan Singer got fired from the picture and Dexter Flectcher came in to finish it and do all of the editing.  Dexter would then go on to Rocketman. Also, Sasha Baron Cohen originally had the rights to the film and was originally to star as Freddie Mercury.  Creative differences between Sasha and Brian May and Roger Taylor (Queen band members) ended this arrangement.
What I Liked
  • Wonderful soundtrack
  • Great acting (Rami Malek)
  • Fun cameo appearances
What I Didn’t
  • Fast and loose with actual events
