This is an almost word for word remake of the 2014 Norwegian movie Kraftidioten (In order of Disappearance). With the exception of one change made in Cold Pursuit, I like the Norwegian version with Stellan Skarsgard and Bruno Ganz better. The 2014 version is heavier and more heartfelt.
